Welcome to Kipjogging. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled. This policy details how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal and athletic data across our Progressive Web Application and telemetry services.
1. Information We Collect
Athlete Account Details: When you register an account, we collect your name, email address, runner username, and password hash (stored with industry-standard cryptographic hashing).
Telemetry & GPS Activity: When you record a workout, Kipjogging collects high-precision GPS coordinates, pace, elevation, split intervals, distance, duration, and estimated calories burned. We only access your device location in the foreground during an active run.
Gear & Profile Preferences: Shoe mileage logs, personal records (PRs), preferred units (metric/imperial), and avatar images.
2. Google API Compliance & User Data (Google Sign-In)
When you sign up or log in using Google OAuth, Kipjogging requests access strictly to your primary email address, public profile name, avatar photo, and unique Google account identifier.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure:
Kipjogging's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We never use Google user data for advertising, marketing, or retargeting.
- We never sell or transfer Google account information to third-party data brokers.
- Human access to your private data is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by you for technical support.
3. Privacy Controls & Mute Zones
You maintain total authority over your activity visibility: choose between Public, Followers Only, or Private. You can also hide sensitive details (heart rate, pace, start times) on any individual activity prior to saving or sharing to the community feed.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your telemetry and profile data only for as long as your account remains active. You have the right to request full export or permanent deletion of your account and all associated telemetry at any time.
To request immediate data deletion, navigate to Settings in the app or email us at privacy@mainavictor.online. All records are permanently purged from our PostgreSQL database and cloud storage within 30 days.
